Since WWII, my family used grease and oil on their rifles and pistols. Then we created Hurley's Gold. Hurley's Gold is a synthetic oil and an industrial grease blended into one bottle with a dash of "secret sauce" added to the mix. The idea is simple: grease stays on the rails and areas where it's needed; the oil separates and migrates to the smaller rotating parts. To ensure that the grease and oil are well-mixed together, we've even added steel shaker / mixing balls to each bottle.
Some parts of your gun need oil. Other parts need a light grease. All parts can benefit from Hurley’s high temperature, (1000 f ) nano boron technology. Hurley’s secret additives add great boundary and shear strength for less wear on high load parts such as locking lugs. Yet the light synthetic base oil can migrate into all those hard to reach, high tolerance places like sear and hammer pins. The best part is that after Hurley's settles in to your weapon it stays-put. Protecting those frame rails, bolts and other critical parts for the long haul. A little goes a long ways. If the parts look wet, they are protected. Use sparingly.
